The image of gold and the fiery furnace

We looked at the story in Daniel 3 about three God geezers surviving a mega hot fiery furnace. They were put in a fiery furnace because they did not obey the King when he asked them to bow down to a big statue. This is alot like what we were thinking about yesterday. In fact in North Korea there is a statue today that people have to bow down to. But Christians don't and they are killed for their faith.

This makes me feel well sad/bad. Why can't people just accept other peoples beliefs.

What do you think?

  1. good thoughts guys! i agree with you. people suffering for their beliefs makes me sad and a little bit angry, and i have massive respect for people who stand up for what they believe in despite some horrible consequences......

    great stuff guys, keep blogging.....

  2. Ye it is extremly sad that some people cant accept the belifes of other people!
n its crazy to think that persecution is close to home than we might think after all who has heard the term 'Bible basher' or the name Cassie Bernall killed in a Columbine High School in 1999 tho there is some debate as to if she is a martyr or not it does remind us that persecution is not just over there in countys miles n miles away!
